To Generate Reports in OpenPlant Orthographics Manager

Background

OpenPlant Orthographics Manager allows user to generate Report lists in Microsoft Excel. User can Generate Reports for Pipe, Instrument, Support, Equipment, Nozzle, HVAC, Cable Tray, Beam and Tag lists. User should have Microsoft Office installed and needs to generate output to generate report as application will fetch data from output file. So no reports generation will be possible for View Arrangement Data files having no output files.

Steps to Accomplish

1. Launch OpenPlant Orthographics Manager and select a project
   
   
   
   
2. Go to Drawing Generation – Reports
   
   
   
   
3. Reports interface includes 
   
   
   1. View Information File - List the View Arrangement Definition files which are currently defined for the project
      
      
   2. Referenced Model Files - Lists the referenced models for the selected View Arrangement Definition file
      
      
   3. Hidden Drawing output - List the output path of the Hidden drawing file(s) for the selected View Arrangement Definition file
      
      
   4. Dimension and Annotation output - List the output path of the Dimension/Annotation drawing file(s) for the selected VAD file
      
      
   5. Reports List Drop Down
      
      
      
      
4. Select a file in View Information file section and it will show Referenced Models used in View Arrangement Definition file and location of Output Hidden and Dimension and Annotation files
   
   
5. Select a file in View Information file section for which report to be generated and select list of report from Reports drop down
   
   
   
   
6. Press “Generate Report” button after selecting Report list type
   
   
   
   
7. The Report Data dialog for the type of list selected will pop up
   
   
   
   
8. Press “Export Excel” to generate report on excel
   
   
   
   
9. Report data as shown in Report Data dialog will be exported to excel file and report will be generated in excel
   
   
10. Close Report Data dialog and see if all data correctly exported to excel file
    (NOTE: User needs to save exported excel file in case user wants to save report data)
