How to Add New Category and Property in Element Info in OpenPlant PID

 Background

In this wiki article we will see how we can add new Category and New Property In OpenPlant PID. In Element Information of any component our requirement is to add new category and also to add new properties under it.

Steps to Accomplish

  1. Launch Class Editor.

  2. Open OpenPlant.01.07.ecschema.



  3. Supplement with OpenPlant_Supplemental_Tagging.01.07.ecschema.



  4. Select Piping Network System class.

  5. Switch to Properties Tab and ADD.

  6. Edit property name, refer below image here Spec.

  7. Click on Custom Attribute > Add for adding Category custom attribute.

  8. As per requirement fill data in Category, refer below image.

    Note: Fill all complete data mention under Category.

              Name should be on capital letters.

  9. Save all settings.

  10. Launch OpenPlant PID & Verify results.
