Since Bentley Facilities products rely heavily on ProjectWise, issues often involve areas such as database configuration, access rights, licensing, etc.. The following steps may help to insure that your ProjectWise configuration is set up properly to support Bentley Facilities products.
- Validate ProjectWise by simply checking out a file and if configured, check components visibility:
- Open ProjectWise Class Editor, right click on Classes, and run the Validate command. This will report potential inconsistencies between the schema and database definitions.
- After installing Bentley Facilities Administrator, run Setup and Validation scripts from C:\Program Files (x86)\Bentley\Bentley Facilities\script\SetupCFC.htm, and enable the Verify option. Note that this does not make any changes to the datasource.
For example, the results could show that there is no Overlap Exclusion nor AutoLinks rules configured:
In this case, the configuration is configured only for Asset Tagging. - If a particular DGN file is causing problems, it is best to open with Bentley Facilities Space Planner and run the Consistency Checks command using the key-in “bf dialog tools conscheck”.
