Problem description:

When attempting to load Navisworks Export MDL application, the following error appears: “‘NWEXPORT_20’ is not signed”. 

Solution:

1. Check if OpenBuildings Designer CONNECT Edition (High Security) is running. When OBD (High Security) is launched, configuration variable MS_SECURITY_LEVEL is automatically set to HIGH which restricts loading only Bentley-digitally-signed applications.
   
   
   
   
2. If not in OBD High-Security mode, verify the value of configuration variable MS_SECURITY_LEVEL. Although the default value is NONE, it may have been manually set to HIGH or MEDIUM. When set to MEDIUM, only applications that are digitally signed by Bentley or by a certificate identified by MS_SECURITY_SPC can be loaded.
   
   Changing value to LOW or NONE will allow the Navisworks export application to load and will enable you to proceed with exporting the NWC file.
