Problem Description

I have modeled columns using "Free Form" tool. Now when I create a Clip Volume, random elements are not visible. Why does OpenBuildings Designer behave this way and how can I fix it?

Solution

In order to fix the visibility in Clip Volumes or Drawings, follow these steps:

1. From the Common Tools group select Models. You can find it for example in the Building Design Workflow, in the Architectural tab.

2. Toggle off the "Is Cell" option.

3. Save, close and reopen the file.

4. Create Clip Volume. 

Now all elements should be visible, because Drawing Views Levels got added to the model.

When modeling in OpenBuildings Designer, we advise using the tools recommended for creating a given element. Otherwise not all DV Levels might be added into the model. Please note that this issue can happen with the Drawing Production as well.
