Problem description
How do I generate movable structural widgets?
Solution
In OpenBuildings Design Update 9 the Movable Widgets option has been added.
Movable Widgets get generated in the drawing if the "Generate Movable Widgets" checkbox is toggled ON from the Reference Presentation > Building Panel > Structural tab > Generate Movable Widgets.
As the name suggests, these double lines can be moved along a member line just as a label can be moved to make the drawing easier to read. Moving a graphic symbol in a drawing may be helpful if it appears in an awkward place in your drawing.
Note: The configuration variable: BB_CREATE_STRUCTURAL_WIDGET_ANNOTATIONS can also be used to control Movable Widgets. If BB_CREATE_STRUCTURAL_WIDGET_ANNOTATIONS = '1', 'true' or 'on' it will always generate Movable Widgets; i.e., the box is always checked or disabled.
