Overview

OpenBuildings GenerativeComponents comes as an companion feature for OpenBuildings Designer, OpenRoads Designer, OpenRail Designer, OpenBridge Modeller, OpenSite Designer. 

Method

This article shows how to install Generative Components.

• For New installations: When installing OpenBuildings Designer (Or any Open Application) On the landing page of the install dialog, under Companion features, there is a check box for OpenBuildings GenerativeComponents. 
  
  

• For existing installations: If the software has been installed already, then the above menu can be accessed by going to Control Panel > Programs and Features. Right click on OpenBuildings Designer and select change:  
  
  
  
  
• After the modify dialog comes up, need to tick the box for OpenBuildings Generative Components
  
  
  
  
• Select Modify and proceed with the installation.
  
  
• Once Generative Components is installed, upon searching in the apps, you will find. Opening using this application would give you the access for Computational Design Work flow.
