Background

We want to integrate OpenBuildings Generative Components with ProjectWise.

Steps to Accomplish

Step 1 :

Firstly, we need to go to ProjectWise Administrator and create a new application. 

Step 2 :

Now scroll down and search for Generative Components W/ OpenBuilding Designer. Right click on the same and select Properties and do the necessary changes as shown in the below image. 

Step 3 :

Now we need to go to ProjectWise Explorer and locate the desired file, right click on it and then go to properties and from the application drop-down select the previously created application

Step 4 :

After doing all the previous steps, right click on DGN, which you want to open in OBD-GC session, and Select 'Open With' option, Browse the application called OpenBuildings Designer with description as Generative Components Connect Edition. Click on Ok & that DGN file will open in Generative Components session.
