TXDOT Inspection Filter

To create a filter for an non-scheduled inspections, there are two processes. The first is to make the NBI fields available in filters, and the second is to create the filter using the NBI fields.

A) Go to Site Configuration > Manage Asset and Report Settings

From the forms designer, select Report Fields

By selecting the filter for the form name, limitation of the two specific fields related to NBI 90 & NBI 91 are found much more simply

1) select the filter
2) type in NBI and the beginning number of the field (i.e. NBI 09)
3) select the pencil to edit the field

Select Advanced Settings

Toggle to add NBI 90 to be available on report filters

Use the  dropdown (1) to select Asset Values (2)     **rationale behind Asset Values - report values are only displayed while a report is in progress, not before it is created, or after it is approved**

and Save (3)

Repeat the process to do the same for NBI 91 (or other fields as required for Underwater, Fracture Critical, etc)

B) To Create the Filter, go to Collector > Inspection Schedules

Manage > Create New

Add a description to the new filter, add fields that limit the data appearing in the new filter, and add fields that an inspector would expect to see in the filter, as seen in the video below

Point to remember: an inspector will not expect to see minute details about the asset in a filter, rather an asset name/code, due date or previous inspection date, inspection frequency
