About SAP HANA

SAP HANA is an in-memory, column-oriented, relational database management system developed and marketed by SAP SE. Its primary function as a database server is to store and retrieve data as requested by the applications. In addition, it performs advanced analytics (predictive analytics, spatial data processing, text analytics, text search, streaming analytics, graph data processing) and includes extract, transform, load (ETL) capabilities as well as an application server.

BECS SAP HANA Connector enables very easy and quick integration between SAP HANA and 3rd party systems. BECS SAP HANA Connector has implemented following set of functions:

SAP HANA Tabble or View, SAP HANA SQL Command Executor, SAP HANA Stored Procedures.

 

SAP Certificates

BECS has been repeatedly fully certified by SAP for both existing SAP certification levels: SAP NetWeaver 7.50 and SAP HANA 2.0 SP021. Currently, after changing the SAP policy the certification is not possible.

How to install BECS SAP HANA Connector

BECS SAP HANA Connector prerequisites

BECS SAP HANA Connector requires:

• BECS Server version 5.5 or higher
• BECS Visual Architect version 5.5 or higher
• SAP HANA

 

BECS SAP HANA Connector Installation Procedure

Whole process will drive following steps:

1. Installation of standard BECS package
2. This connector requires fully activated BECS server and BECS Visual Architect product
3. After installation (if standard package does not include SAP HANA Connector), is necessary copy dll file “Ace.Integrator.HanaODBCReadWrite.dll” and “Ace.Integrator.HanaODBCSqlCall.dll” to BECS installation path.
4. After installation (if standard package does not include SAP HANA Connector), is necessary copy dll file “Ace.Integrator.HanaODBCReadWrite.dll” and “Ace.Integrator.HanaODBCSqlCall.dll” to BECS Visual Architect installation path(Architect\Extensions\Application).
5. Product will be after Activation ready to use.
