Brava! multi viewer allows you to add Markups and Changemarks on any document or drawing without modifying the source document (markups are saved as a separate XML file) and has the ability to burn in markups to PDF, TIFF or CSF formats using ‘Redact’ option.
Markups can be created from ‘Markup Layers’ (Remarks field is not mandatory).
Also Markups can be created from ‘Viewer’ tab by pressing on markup Menu button * in the left top corner and selecting option ‘New’ or just by pressing on Annotate ** button.
Both these actions will call markup toolbar, but new markup will be saved only after adding markups and pressing Save Markup button and entering Name of new markup (you will also be prompted with save window if you will try to close Brava viewer or navigate from Viewer tab to another one).
When there are no changes to be saved Markup Save button will be grayed out.
To edit markup you need to open it by pressing on markup Menu button and selection ‘Open’ action and from selection window select required Markup and press Open (only one Markup can be opened at once).
Users can configure security settings for Markup files from ‘Markup Layers’ tab.
Just like for other eB object you can give View, Modify and Delete permission for particular Persons or for users with a particular Role.
You can only identify do files contains Markups from eB WEB. This can be done either from ‘Markup Layers’ (Markup Layers window can be called directly from file or can be checked from launched Brava Viewer)
or from Brava! Viewer mode (in top left corner you should see red exclamation mark)
To view Markups you can open them one by one in edit mode (described in “Creating/Managing Markups” section) or you can enable more than one in view mode by pressing on the Review action button and in “Markup Open for Review” window by holding control button selecting couple of them.
Users can expand Left Hand pane by pressing small arrow in the left corner of the Brava viewer window and in ‘Thumbnails’ tab you can identify what pages contains Markups (exclamation mark is shown next to page)
By using Markup navigation buttons you can navigate through pages which only contains Markups . In left hand pane from “Changemark” tab you can view details on changemarks and by double clicking on it the main window will navigate to page where this changemark is located.
NOTE: Do not use Add Reply function for Changemarks from Review mode as it will save reply on separate markup layer and that will lead to viewing and editing issues of this Changemark (you won’t see reply until you load original layer and layer which was created just for a reply).
Details on Markups such as author or creation date can be seen by hovering mouse over it for changemark notes should be shown as well.
The Markup toolbar contains tools for adding markup entities and Changemarks (annotations) to the current file. The Markup toolbar is displayed on the left side of the viewer.
