Is it possible to show the hatch patterns associated a Legend Code?

Question

Is it possible to produce a report showing the hatch images associated with each of the legend codes in HoleBASE?

Answer

It is possible to create an output within Template Studio with some extra effort, although it is possible to have a form of onscreen preview by selecting the 'Strata - Legend Codes' entry under the 'Manage Picklists' configuration setting.

To create a legend code report, the legend codes, or alternative hatches will first need to be imported via the Image library. Either within a project, or within a configuration pack, select the Template Images button from the ribbon.

Simply then import each hatch pattern in individually such as below.

In Template Studio, this image can then be used just as a normal logo would be. Use the Static Image library item and then simply select the correct item in the list.

Alternatively, a report including most of the bespoke patterns can be downloaded b0b7c25147ce8e14e3378d53636d43eb.iix. Note that this is a historical document and so may become superseded either due to changes in software or bespoke project requirements.

Explanation

This document applies to the UK only. Legend codes and their descriptions are defined by the AGS - see the data transfer microsite on www.ags.org.uk for more information. The hatch patterns associated with these codes is not clearly defined. Therefore, the PDF mentioned above represents those associated with Legend Codes by default for users of the Bristish Standard configuration pack.
