KeyAGS Excel Add-In appears to hang when attempting to licence

Issue Summary

KeyAGS can give the impression of hanging when attempting to licence via the Excel add-in.

Resolution

This occurs when the application is looking for a folder which does not exist for the licence file. To address the problem create a "licence" folder in the C:\program files\keynetix\keyags4 directory, place the .gol file for KeyAGS in this location and ensure it is named to licence.gol (note the spelling of "licence" in particular).

It may also be necessary to remove a registry key from the machine associated with KeyAGS licence to allow this file to read - this is likely to be the case if process above does not remedy the issue. The registry can usually be edited by entering "regedit" into the Windows command line (found under the Windows 'Start' button) although some users may have to seek assistance from their local IT contacts to implement this. Once in the registry review the entry for hkey local machine>software>keynetix>keyags4>licence, this containing a code. Remove this code and run the application - this should resolve the problem.
