Selecting an EasyPower Feature Level


EasyPower license entitlements are identified by feature level. The feature level combines your product tier, bus count, and any add-on modules, such as ADVANCED + 5000 Buses + Reliability.

Use the Feature Level Selector in the Bentley Licensing Tool to set or update the feature level that EasyPower uses on your computer.

Before You Begin

  1. Confirm that you are signed in to the Bentley CONNECTION Client using your organizational account.
  2. Close EasyPower if it is running.

Using the Feature Level Selector

  1. Open the Bentley Licensing Tool in either of these ways:
    • Search for Bentley Licensing Tool in the Windows Start menu.
    • In the CONNECTION Client, click the clipboard icon in the left pane.
  2. In the left pane of the Bentley Licensing Tool, click Change Feature Level. The Feature Level Selector opens.

  1. Click a tab to filter the list to show licenses your organization owns (perpetual licenses), or licenses you can use via a subscription. Click All Licenses to show both.

    Note: Usage charges may apply for subscription-based licenses, such as SELECT Open Access.

  2. Select the check box for your EasyPower license entitlement.
  3. Click Confirm Selection.

  1. Open EasyPower.

Note: A feature level change takes effect only when EasyPower starts. If EasyPower is running, close and reopen it.

Resolving Trial Mode

EasyPower runs in Trial Mode when it starts without a license entitlement. In Trial Mode, files created outside Trial Mode cannot be opened, and EasyPower displays: "Cannot open a non-trial database by a trial application."

To resolve this issue, follow the steps in Using the Feature Level Selector above to select your license entitlement.

If you do not see the EasyPower feature level you expect, contact your Bentley account administrator to confirm your license entitlements.
