E2021-73: Only caesar v12 or earlier versions are supported...error message in AutoPIPE


Problem:

The following is displayed when running trying to import a CII into a model consistency check report in AutoPIPE:

 E2021-73: Only caesar v12 or earlier versions are supported by AutoPIPE

How to avoid it?

Solution:

Currently, AutoPIPE supports importing caesar CII files up to version 12 (AutoPIPE See KB article here). Unfortunately, caesar does not provide backward compatibility for newer versions, which creates significant challenges for interoperability between our products.

As a result, AutoPIPE's development has had to absorb the responsibility and cost of implementing workarounds to accommodate constant changes to our software since this interop was originally developed. This approach is neither sustainable nor efficient for our mutual customers, who expect seamless integration between industry-standard tools.

To help resolve this issue and improve interoperability for the entire industry, we strongly encourage everyone reading this to reach out to Hexagon (caesar developer) and request that they implement backward compatibility in future releases. This change would:
