WaterSight New Updates (July 2025)

A new release has been published in July 2025, bringing the following additional functionalities:

Display labels on map

When accessing the Map dashboard, the user can now turn on the display labels for sensors, zones, large customers and for the hydraulic model elements which are associated with the sensors. The option to turn on labels is available from the side widget, for each one of the tabs (sensors, zones, large customers, hydraulic model). By default this option will be off.

Graphs - additional Y range options (including auto-scale mode)

When accessing either the graphs overview pages or the detail graph page for sensors, zones or large customers, there are now more options available to change the Y axis scale of graphs. The new options are available under the settings button () located on the top right of the graphs, and include four options:

Graphs Overview - automatically adapt to the registration frequency

The Sensors and Zones overview graphs were previously automatically displayed based on a 15 min time step. However there might exist in some cases some sensors which the registration frequency is higher than 15 minutes (for example 1 hour) and for those cases the solution automatically displays the graphs based on the 1 hour time step. The sensor registration frequency is defined by the user in the administration >> sensors and administration >> smart meters

Rest API connection - Adding new sensors or smart meters

Users that have sensor or smart meter data being pushed to WaterSight through a Rest API connection, can now autonomously add new sensors or smart meters without requiring any intervention from a Bentley resource. The workflow is simple and the steps are the following:

Automatic ingestion of customer meters and billing data

WaterSight provides now with two API that users can connect to in order to send customer meter and billing data. This new option allows users to have a more automated workflow regarding customer meter and billing data ingestion - and as an alternative to the other approach of uploading information each month through the upload of an excel file. For more information on how to set up this connection please reach to your Bentley point of contact.

Preserve filters in all administration tables

Users have now a better experience while performing any updates in the administration, either being on sensors, smart meters, zones, pumps, tanks or alert triggers. When using the filters, search or sort options on the tables to edit specific group of elements, those same selections are preserved and not reset, so that the user can continue with the updates to the specific group. Those selections are only reset when exiting the page.

Performance Improvements

The new release also brings better performance when accessing the map dashboard when there are significant number of active events.
