WaterSight New Updates (May 2024)

We're excited to share the updates and enhancements to OpenFlows WaterSight published on 21st May 2024:

Pattern and forecast calculation using AI

In the zone time series detail graph there is a new option to switch between the pattern type Percentile based (traditional approach) and the AI generated approach

The AI pattern generated approach uses historical data together with temperature, precipitation, special periods and days to calculate a pattern that in several cases can better fit the real time data and with this minimizing the generation of false alerts. It was seen in several cases a relation between demands and weather conditions, and this is now captured.

Estimating Zone Series

In the Admin >> Zones >> set the option Gap Filling to Yes (in the side panel).

Zone flow series can now be estimated whenever:

Whenever data is estimated, those values will be represented in the zone graphs as empty circles, example below:

Estimated zone values will then be used in all the derived calculations (Water Balance, MNF, etc). Triggers will not be generated based on Estimated values.

Using Smart Meter data /AMI to adjust Model demands

It is snow possible to use smart meter data (flow) from large customers and automatically adjust their model patterns. The methodology is summarized below:

This option is enabled in the Admin >> Numerical Models, by enabling the smart meter adjustment option. More information can be found here - Smart Meter Adjustment.

Hydraulic Model Rebuild

In the Admin >> Numerical Model >>  there is a new Rebuild Model button

For some specific cases we have found issues related with model reuploads – for example model is in the wrong location, screen is black etc. Whenever a model is uploaded and issues are found, the admin can now click on this Rebuild button which should immediately fix those issues.
