Can AutoPIPE import a SAP2000 model file?
Unfortunately at this time, No, you cannot import a SAP 2000 model into AutoPIPE directly.
However, you can convert from SAP2000 to STAAD file with Sap2StaadV2.3.0 software found on our forum. AutoPIPE cannot import a STAAD *.STD file, instead inside of STAAD use the PIPELINK command to export a *.PIPELINK file.
Inside of AutoPIPE open / create a model, use File> Insert Model> "Model From STAAD Using PipeLink (*.pipelink)" command to import the file into AutoPIPE.
See the following file copied to the computer when AutoPIPE was installed:
C:\Bentley\AutoPIPE V8i SELECTseries \Documents> PIPELINK_tutorial.pdf
