Answer
Displacement Scale is a model specific setting. It appears that the model in question may have this value reset to 0. Enter in a value higher than 0.00.

Open dialog where setting is found, and press keyboard F1 key to see help topic on this setting.

Should the Displacement scale be adjusted higher or lower when displacement image/animation indicates piping bent unnaturally?
Answer:
The exaggeration is based on scaling the displacement per the scale value entered, increase the value to increase the amount of exaggeration. If the exaggeration is too large than the pipes appear to fold and bend in ways not possible. Lower the scale value as needed so the exaggeration movement is to your liking ( ex. scale changed from 1 to 0.1)

No scale factor helps with the exaggeration of the displacement image / animation, what next?
Answer:
Depending on your graphics card, sometimes the exaggerated image / animation does not appreciable change after modifying the scale factor. Best to close all open AutoPIPE sessions and restart AutoPIPE. Again, open the model, make a change to the displacement scale factor and show the displacement image / animation.
