Problem:

The following is displayed when opening a model in AutoPIPE:

How to fix this issue?

Solution:

This is the code requirement to calculate the Stress Intensification Factors (SIF) values as per ASME B31J.
Refer to Table 1-1 in ASME B31J for Flexibility and Stress Intensification Factors

It is clearly mentioned that Stress Intensification Factors (SIF) apply only if the given conditions are met. User will encounter this error when the cone reducing angle does not meet the code requirements.

To avoid this error, User can use a cone angle between 5 to 60 degrees. Alternatively, user can check the "Use SIF of 2.0" option in the reducer dialogue box. If user select this option, the software will use an SIF of 2 instead of calculating it as per the formulas given in Table 1-1.
