This article provides general security information for Microsoft 365 administrators looking to enable the Teams integration application for users in their organization.
The ProjectWise for Teams application (https://appsource.microsoft.com/en-us/product/office/WA104381873) is a Microsoft Teams application that allows users create tabs with ProjectWise cloud services.
The application uses Bentley IMS (Identity Management System) to authenticate users into ProjectWise services. Access to information in ProjectWise services is fully governed by access rights configured in ProjectWise for the logged in user.
The application also uses Microsoft Teams authentication to access information in Teams that is required for:
- Tab creation in Teams;
- Communicating with Teams user;
- Saving Team and Tab IDs in ProjectWise for Teams default tab and Teams links creation.
