Explanation
A combined log is created from existing templates you currently have. So the first thing to do is make sure the logs you wish to combine are setup in template studio.
Process
Once you are happy with those templates;
- Login to Template Studio as the Administrator
- Select your project
- Select "Create" and then select "Combined Log" then "ok"
- You will then have a "Template Setup" window appear.

- Please review the settings there to get the template sizes you wish. Following this you will get a "Combined Log Editor" appear.

- In this window use the "Add" option to add all the templates you wish to combine. Select the "Type" (location type) and the template you wish to use for that location type. It is also possible to choose different strip sets if your templates are Mater Templates with different strips available on them. Repeat this for each location type you wish to include on the combined log and then select "ok"

- After selecting "ok" you will be asked to save the template, please save the template to the configuration pack or project and give it a name you will recognise later.

- The Combined template will then be in the configuration pack ready to use in OpenGround.
Note that if you wish to edit the combined log, you actually edit the templates you used to make the combined log. You cant edit the combined log directly.
Further Information
This section will explain how to get the combined template to function within OpenGround.
For the data to now show on the combined log and switch template where the data changes you need to specify the depths of each location type in the "Depth Related Exploratory Hole Information" To find this table go to "Hole Construction > Depth Related Exploratory Hole Information".
Once in the table add the depths for each location type for each location.
After adding this you should be able to view the combined log and see it switch template at the base depth entered. In the example above it will switch template and 28.50m.
