Background

Many users have set up the Input file runner from the MX Benelux Tools add in (bnlxInpRunOnce.exe) to run input files via their file editors such as PSPAD. This wiki runs through an additional setup that is required to use this function in MX v8i SS3.

Steps to Accomplish

  1. Open System Properties and go to the Advanced tab.

    Click Environment Variables.

  2. Go to the System Variables and select the Path variable

Select Edit to modify the list of variables. Add  C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Bentley Shared\MX\08.11.09 to the list as shown below. Make sure to place a semicolon between individual paths.

When you run the input via your editor it will now run into MX as it did in previous version.

Note: Do not delete any paths from the System Variables as this will impact software installed on the machine. You may need to restart your machine for the System Variables path change to take effect. If you are in doubt about making this change on your machine pass this wiki to your IT Department to implement for you.
