This wiki article will detail the process of limiting the extents of cross sections to a boundary
Steps to Accomplish
Option 1 - Sections Already Cut
- Copy the boundary strings to the model where the sections strings are stored.
- Use the Trim Model to a Boundary tool to trim the section strings to the boundary

- Load the Create Cross Sections tool and open the trimmed cross section model using View Existing Cross Sections.

- In the Cross Sections: Working Drawing panel set the required Section Set (Existing Ground in example below) as the Reference Section Set using the Icon highlighted below.

When the section set is set as the Reference Section Set it will have a * beside it as below.

- In the Scales and Range tab set to Relative and Left Offset and Right Offset to 0 as below.

This will limit the drawing of the cross section to the extents of the Reference Section Set. - Select Apply and the Cross sections drawings will be created.
Option 2 - Sections not Cut
- Create a copy of the survey model and copy the boundary strings to this copy of the survey model.
- Use the Trim Model to a Boundary tool to trim the survey model to the boundary
- Load the Create Cross Sections tool and create new cross section using the Design model and the Trimmed Survey Model.
- Follow Steps 4 to 6 in Option 1 to create the Cross sections drawings.
