Question:
I know that I can change the stationing of a horizontal alignment by using the command Geometry > Horizontal Curve Set > Stationing, but how can I change the stationing of just the vertical alignment?
Answer:
The easiest method to change the stationing of the vertical alignment while maintaining the original horizontal alignment is to use the command Geometry > Vertical Curve Set > Table Editor. You can easily key in the desired station, select "Solve" and the vertical alignment will shift stations and update dynamically in any profile sets.
Note: This command works only with simple alignments containing linear elements, parabolas and/or circular curves.
