Question:
What are the different ways I can define a Cross Section Annotation Group?
Answer:
First, be sure that the workspace points to a dgnlib that contains an Annotation Group. This wiki walks through how to set that up.
- While the Cross Sections are being developed...
- If only the Named Boundarys are created…
- After the Drawing/Sheet models have been created...
While the Cross Sections are being developed...
- Check Create Drawing at the bottom of the first dialog
- Select the Annotation Group from the drop down on the Create Drawing dialog.

If only the Named Boundarys are created or you forgot to check Create Drawing…
- Be sure a 2D/3D view is open.
- Click the Named Boundaries to open the dialog box.
- Highlight the "Show the Create Drawing Dialog" button.
- Right click on the Cross Section Named Boundary Group and select "Create cross section drawing"
- Select the Annotation Group from the drop down
- Hit OK.

After the Drawing/Sheet models have been created...
- Open a Cross Section Drawing Model.
- Click the Model Annotation Command.
- Select the Annotation Group ellipses to select the group.
- Data point in the view window
