OpenRoads Designer 2023+

Bing Maps was changed and enhanced starting in OpenRoads Designer 2023. 

Assign a Geographic Coordinate System first and then access and assign Bing map imagery in the background view of your DGN as follows:

1. Utilities Tab

The Assign Background Map tool available in the ribbon allows you to easily apply the map settings to multiple views.

OpenRoads Designer 10.02.00 to 10.12

For versions prior to OpenRoads Designer 2023, the Background Map displays in the View Attributes dialog after attaching the Geographic Coordinate System (GCS). 

There are 3 requirements necessary to display the Bing background map:

1.) Internet Connection
2.) Coordinate System defined in the DGN file
3.) Logged into the CONNECTION client.
