Reviewing the 4D Project in SYNCHRO Control

Stakeholders can now review the 4D sequence on the web, no install or powerful hardware required!

After upgrading an existing SYNCHRO project or starting a new 4D collaboration project in SYNCHRO Control, users will be able to review the 4D model in SYNCHRO Control. Changes made in SYNCHRO 4D Pro, will be synchronized to SYNCHRO Control automatically*. To review the 4D sequence, go to SYNCHRO Control and select the Schedule tab.

Some of the features of the viewer are shown below:

  1. Enter full screen mode
  2. Play the 4D sequence
  3. Edit the playback speed and enable repeat
  4. View the model tree and hide/show specific elements
  5. Change the Gantt chart scale
  6. Choose a 3D navigation tool
  7. Select Elements tools – when an element is selected, element properties will be shown on the right side of the screen
  8. Measure tools
  9. Section tools
  10. View properties

The 4D sequence can also be viewed in any of the Forms tabs in SYNCHRO Control

In addition to the tools available in the Schedule tab, the Forms tabs also include the following features:

  1. Switch to Model view to see the model and review the 4D sequence
  2. Play the 4D sequence
  3. Drag the slider to move to a certain point in the 4D sequence
  4. Create a new form. Click the + button under Model Location, then drag the slider to the correct time in the 4D sequence and place the marker at the desired point in the model. Forms will be tied to both the location and the time specified
  5. Click the Form marker in the model view or in the table to jump to the saved time in the 4D sequence associated with the selected item

*NOTE: Synchronization been SYNCHRO 4D Pro and SYNCHRO Control is not real-time. There may be a lag of more than 30 minutes between when a change is made to a schedule or model in SYNCHRO 4D Pro and when this change is visible in SYNCHRO Control. Therefore, SYNCHRO Open Viewer is still recommended if you need to view real-time changes made by SYNCHRO 4D Pro users.
