Once a 4D project has been set up in SYNCHRO Control and you are added as a user to that project, you may open it from SYNCHRO 4D Pro and begin working on the 4D model. To do this:
- Run SYNCHRO 4D Pro
- Go to File>Open>SYNCHRO Control Project
- The following screen will display briefly, then a browser window will be raised
- In the browser window, enter your email address for Bentley IMS.
- You will be presented with the following list of permissions to approve. Click Allow
- You may now close your browser window and return to SYNCHRO 4D Pro
NOTE: Steps 4-6 will only be necessary about once every week
- In SYNCHRO 4D Pro, you will see a list of SYNCHRO Control projects that have been set up for 4D. The Project Filter can be used to limit the projects in the list if desired:
- My Projects – all 4D projects to which you have been added as a user
- Favorites – only 4D projects that you have favorited with a star in Control
- Recent – only the 4D projects that you have recently opened
- You may sort by a left click or search in any column header.
NOTE: The Source of 3D column indicates whether SYNCHRO 4D Pro (Yes) or iModel (No) is the source of the 3D model. For more information on the differences between the model sources, see here
- Select the project you would like to open and press OK
