There are several options to access Bentley Communities. You can directly use the specific link, find the “Bentley Communities” button within the CONNECT Center, or utilize the “Ask a Question” or “Search Knowledge Base” features in the Bentley Support Portal.
This guide provides an overview of how to access the community from each platform and how to set up a new Identity Management System (IMS) account.
Using the Bentley Communities direct link
To access Bentley Communities, log in to https://bentleysystems.service-now/community

Upon accessing the Bentley Communities homepage without being logged in, you will be greeted with “Hello, Guest.” After a successful login, the term “Guest” will be updated to reflect your chosen Display Name.

Click ‘Login’ to sign in to Bentley Communities.
You will automatically be redirected to the log in page.
If it's your first time signing in and you haven't used any other Bentley apps, then enter your email address and click next.
If you are already logged in to CONNECT or any other Bentley IMS login-required application, the IMS login page will show the email account that is currently signed in. To proceed, simply choose the desired email account.
If you are not signed in to any Bentley application, you may be redirected to the Microsoft Azure AD page where you must type in your Windows password and authenticate your account. Please follow your company’s login process when signing in to Microsoft Azure AD.
Please note: If you’re just starting with Bentley, you can easily access Bentley Communities by signing in with your existing Bentley credentials. For those wishing to create a new Bentley Communities profile, please initiate the self-registration process and establish a new account by following this link: Register a New Account.
Accessing Bentley Communities from CONNECT Center
You can also access Bentley Communities from CONNECT Center using this link - https://connect.bentley.com.
Upon accessing the link, you will be directed to the IMS login page. Please use your Bentley registered credentials to log in. In case you are already logged in to another Bentley IMS login-required application, the IMS log in page will show the email account that is currently signed in. To proceed, simply choose the desired email account.
Once you have signed into your account, navigate to ‘My Services’ then select ‘Bentley Communities’.
Accessing Bentley Communities from Bentley Support Portal
To access Bentley Communities from Bentley Support Portal, visit https://bentleysystems.service-now.com/csp.
Click the ‘Login’ link on the upper-right corner of the page. You will be re-directed to the IMS login page.
Log in with your Bentley registered credentials.
In case you are already logged in to any other Bentley IMS login-required application, the IMS login page will show the email account that is currently signed in. To proceed, simply choose the desired email account.
Option 1: Select ‘Ask Bentley Communities’
Select 'Ask Bentley Communities' to post a question and get answers from Bentley experts and community users.
After selecting ‘Ask Bentley Communities’, you will be routed to the Communities question intake form where you can start posting a question by:
- Selecting the forum or community destination.
- Adding the details of your question.
- Including attachments.
Option 2: Select ‘Search Knowledge Base’
Select 'Search Knowledge Base' to search for answers and find solutions to your questions in our extensive knowledge base.
First Time Log In
If you are logging in to Bentley Communities in ServiceNow for the first time, you will be asked to set up your account by performing the following actions:
- Set your display name.
- Agree to the Terms and Conditions.
- Confirm your time zone by clicking on the dropdown menu and selecting your time zone.
Setting up IMS (Identity Management System) Login
The Bentley Identity Management Service (or Bentley IMS for short) is the web service (https://ims.bentley.com) that manages the Bentley Cloud Services profiles (also called Bentley IMS accounts) that exist for the users in your organization and verifies your credentials when you sign in to Bentley though the CONNECT Center (https://connect.bentley.com). Bentley IMS authentication lets you log in to a data source using the credentials of your Bentley IMS account.
To set up an account, visit https://ims.bentley.com.
Select "Don't have an account? Register now." to create your new account. The create you profile window will open.
Proceed to fill out the form by supplying your personal details and then click on the ‘Create Account’ button.
Next, carefully follow the provided instructions to verify and finalize the creation of your Bentley User Profile. Once this process is successfully completed, you will gain access to sign into Bentley Communities.
