How do I make gauge and color or other wire properties appear along with the wire numbers on schematics?

Steps to Accomplish

  1. Select [[Options]] > Project Options > Wire Settings (formerly Wire Options) > Label Preferences
  2. Click the Edit button next to "Wire label display".
  3. Select the desired property in the left pane and click the Add to Expression button, or simply drag the property from the left pane to the right pane.  Repeat for remaining desired properties.
  4. To remove a property from the expression in the right pane, right-click it and select Delete, or select it and press the Delete key.

Predefined "Wire Tag (only)" and "Wire Tag (complete)" profiles or existing custom profiles can be loaded by clicking the Load Profile button. The "Wire Tag (complete)" profile includes the gauge and color in addition to the wire number. Custom profiles can be created using the expression builder in that dialog and saved with the Save Profile button.  Saved profiles can be loaded in other projects.

Starting with Promis.e and Bentley Substation V8i SELECTseries 7, different saved profiles can be selected for use on different branches in [[Wiring Manager]].  The profile specified in the project options will be the profile used by default.  It is now also possible to display the properties of every branch represented by a single logical line.
