Question:
How do you control cells place within Microstation with bylevel symbology?
Answer:
In order to control the symbology of the cells bylevel, the symbology of the cell must be edited in the cell library. The procedure to do so is as follows:
- From within your design file, go to Element>Cells.
- Find the cell that you wish to update in the list.
- Right-click on that cell and select “open for editing". This will open up the cell in the cell library.
- Select all of the elements in the cell and change the color, line weight, etc to “bylevel”.
- When placing the cell within InRoads, the cell will now take on the symbology of the level it is assigned to according to its named symbology.
