In OpenBridge Modeler CONNECT Edition after user added an Element to the bridge model Unit you can still modify its name as user can Edit the Element Properties, as shown in the screenshot below.

With the Primary Ribbon Menu Windows Explorer and Properties open use the Element Selection tool to select the Element; then, right click over the Element name inside the Explorer or Properties windows to open the Delete, Rename, Properties, Zoom, Isolate and Clear Isolate options. Select Rename to edit the Element name.

Note that sub-elements are not subject to naming and modifying.
