Apply a Transparency to an element

How to apply Transparency to a filled shape or element

Steps to Accomplish

Option 1

  1. Select the Shape or Element in the view by clicking on it once
  2. From the Active Attributes Tools at the top, click on the Element Transparency as shown in image 2
  3. Select a Transparency value, the higher the value, the more transparent the element becomes
  4. Once a value is selected, the element should appear transparent, see image 4
  5. If it does not, see Transparency not displayed

Option 2

  1. Select the Shape or Element in the view by clicking on it once
  2. Right click on the Element and select Properties from the pop-up menu (Element Information in older versions), see image 3
  3. The Element Information dialog appears, from the General section click in the Transparency field and choose a value
  4. Once a value is selected, the element should appear transparent, see image 4
  5. If it does not, see Transparency not displayed
