Problem

I want to have a Cell Selector file automatically loaded when opening a file in MicroStation

Solution

1. Create a default Cell Selector File (default.csf) as required and place this in a location required (Typically on a Server within your Organizations configuration)

Consult your Site Administrator on the best location and ask them to set the following variables at the appropriate configuration level. ( IE Organization / WorkSet )

2. Set the variable MS_CELLSELECTORDIR to point to the folder containing *.csf files

3. Set the variable MS_CELLSELECTOR with the default Cell Select File name (default.csf).
