Problem:

When I try to add features to terrain, e.g.  "hole" or "void" feature, openroads crashes immediately. When I open exception.log file it says as below: "Invalid Dtm Feature Type".

Solution:

Exporting terrain model to LandXML file, deleting old terrain model from .dgn and importing LandXML file may solve this issue.
