Question:

My Linear Template appears to be overlapping on itself as shown by the red line in the below screenshot. How do I resolve this?

Answer:

Go to File > Settings > Configuration > Configuration Variables and go to New. Define the variable _CIVIL_ZINGER_TOLERANCE to any value between 0 to 180 degrees. Close and reopen ORD. Reprocess the linear template. This variable will look at the linear line described as red above and measure the angle values between the points. If it is less than or equal to the zinger tolerance it will reevaluate until this variable is satisfied. We recommend setting it to a small number such a 10 degrees and then adjusting as necessary for your design.
