As of October 1, 2022, Bentley changed how PLAXIS Term Licenses are invoiced -

• Users are now billed only once for the functionality used on any given day.
• Users are no longer charged for a Term License of a lower tier if they own a higher tier.

Term License pricing is now tiered but there is no price increase.

• Each tier is now priced as an add-on to the previous tier.
• Users get credit for seats owned of lower tiers when receiving Term Licenses for higher tiers.
• The new lower pricing reflects that the user is only being charged for the extra functionality needed above what they own, rather than a full seat of the product. Users only pay for the difference and not a whole term license.

Invoice itemization has changed.

Price of base PLAXIS 2D and PLAXIS 3D remains the same.

PLAXIS 2D Advanced (Formerly billed as PLAXIS 2D Advanced)

• If no owned seats of Plaxis 2D, would be billed as Plaxis 2D + Plaxis 2D Advanced

PLAXIS 2D Ultimate (Formerly billed as PLAXIS 2D Ultimate)

• If no owned seats of Plaxis 2D or Plaxis 2D Advanced, would be billed as Plaxis 2D +  Plaxis 2D Advanced + Plaxis 2D Ultimate

PLAXIS 3D Advanced (Formerly billed as PLAXIS 3D Advanced)

• If no owned seats of Plaxis 3D, would be billed as Plaxis 3D + Plaxis 3D Advanced

PLAXIS 3D Ultimate (Formerly billed as just PLAXIS 3D Ultimate)

• If no owned seats of Plaxis 3D or Plaxis 3D Advanced, would be billed as Plaxis 3D +  Plaxis 3D Advanced + Plaxis 3D Ultimate

 

No action for the user 

All changes are reflected on Bentley's end and automatically go into effect.

• Monthly Term Licenses in November 2023  were the first invoices to reflects the modification to the pricing system.
• Quarterly Term Licenses  & E365 billing invoicing will reflect the modification to the pricing system in January 2023.
