Problem Description

When an item in a design file (drawing) is selected, the appearance of it and/or other elements becomes degraded or invisible. The display has also been described as appearing coarse or grainy. This behavior has been encountered by users with onboard graphics processors instead of separate graphics cards designed for CAD workstations.

Steps to Resolve

1. From the main pull down menus of the application.
2. Select Workspace > Preferences > View Options, and set the transparency sliders to completely Opaque (all the way to the left).

Alternatively, disable hardware acceleration on the system.
