Solution

This error results when trying to create a parts database path without a valid connection to a promis.e SQL project database. Establish a connection to a project database on the Project Database tab of the [[Setup]] dialog before attempting to create a parts database path. A valid project database connection is evidenced by receiving no error messages when clicking the Apply or OK buttons on the [[Setup]] dialog and by the ability to open and create projects and project pages.
