The following will demonstrate how to animate a cutout in a 3D model

Background

On occasions, it is useful to provide an animation to show what's inside part of a 3D model. For example, you may want to show the rooms owned in a large building, or see what is beneath a roads surface.

Steps to Accomplish

  1. Open the 3D model
  2. Create a solid to be used for the cutout
  3. From Visualization workflow choose the Home tab, under Utilities group select Render Boolean Add tool.
