Introduction:  The instructions and video below provide the new workflow for editing arrow graphics and objects in OpenRoads SignCAD.

Step 1:  Look and see if the arrow you need is already in OpenRoad SignCAD.

a. There are several pre-made Circular Intersection Directional Arrows available from the Place>Templates>Templates Manager>U.S. 2009 as shown below:

b. If you are looking for the R3-8 arrows and signs, those can be found in Panels>Standard Signs>U.S. 2009 by typing R3-8 in the Code field. The U.S. 2004, Minnesota and Texas sign libraries also have several R3-8 signs available.

Step 2:  Find an arrow similar to the one that you want, select the arrow and use the Export Selected to DGN option.

Step 3:  Open the DGN file with the arrow in OpenRoads Designer or MicroStation and edit the arrow.

Step 4:  Import the DGN with the edited arrow into OpenRoads SignCAD and place it in your sign.
