Error or Warning Message

"Startup main error location: 21
number: 91
Description: object variable or with block variable not set"

Explanation

This is almost always a permissions problem.

How to Avoid

  1. Sometimes the user settings file goes bad. Do a search of the C drive for the setup.gsh file. Rename to setup.bak. Try to open gINT. If this is the problem, gINT will open and create a new setup.gsh. If it doesn't, rename it back to setup.gsh.
  2. If you can, upgrade gINT. This has been fixed in 8.3 V8i releases (SS1) or newer.

  3. If you cannot upgrade, grant user full control to the 2 folders where gINT is installed.  User will need full control for all the sub-folders, except for the BIN folder. The path will vary, depending on the build of gINT and the operating system.

The first folder will be found in one of these places:

    C:\Program Files\Bentley\gINT or C:\Program Files (x86)\Bentley\gINT or C:\Program Files\gINT or C:\Program Files (x86)\gINT

This is the second place users need full control:

    C:\Program Files\Common Files\gINT Software or C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\gINT Software
