QUESTION: What is the “Degree of fixity in foundation for” value and how it is computed?

ANSWER:

The “Degree of Fixity in Foundations” is the G value, and it is based on AASHTO Code section 4, Page 4-53.

The program does not calculate G value and it is a user input based on Type of footing. Whatever value is inputted for “Degree of Fixity in Foundations” the same value is highlighted as R in MM Parameters Dialog Box. R value is same as G.
