How to paste a MicroStation DGN file into MathCAD?
1. Use Microstation to create the drawing.
2. Adjust view 1 to capture whatever you want to copy. (Close all other windows in Microstation)
3. Click File/Save Settings
4. Click File/Compress Design
5. Type "mdl load oleserve" in the Microstation taskbar
6. Enter
7. Type "oleserve viewcopy" in the Microstation taskbar. It asks you what view you want to copy - click in view one.
8. Enter
6. Close Microstation
7. In Mathcad...Insert/Object, You have to pick "Create from file", browse to the DGN and select it, then click on the Link toggle. Microstation will start and you will see your drawing. You can exit MicroStation and the drawing will display in MathCAD.
