Gooooooood afternoon,
I am looking at discovering some lesser known or even well known just less documented tips and tricks for increasing the efficacy of workflow on a day to day basis.
I use MicroStation Connect for creating/altering electrical substation schematics, single line diagrams, wiring diagrams, dc control schematics etc.. I've gotten the hang of standardizing my workspaces in order to decrease time spent on that end and it has significantly increase productivity in that regard.
However, I'd like to increase workflow itself within a design file. Any information on setting up customized hotkeys, or existing hotkeys would be beneficial.
Any specialized key-ins anybody finds useful are valuable as well.
Doesn't necessarily have to be directly related to electrical drawings either. Any and all information is valuable and if it may not be applicable to my work it may help someone else with theirs.
I am particularly interested in vectorizing older scanned electrical drawings that do not have design files and were hand drawn back in the day. I have been trying to figure out descartes to vectorize but it seems quite convoluted as the drawings once changed to tiffs are very pixelated and if the image is clear, once vectorizing a particular area such as say a line that line is broken up into several small lines since the raster image line itself wasn't perfectly straight or missing/added pixels.
Any who, doesn't have to related to the above interest, any and all information is valuable. Would really like to capture anybody's opinions on their favorite workflow tips and tricks within this thread.
