I would greatly appreciate any help, comments or suggestions regarding the following subject.
Goal: IFC Export to create a facility management handover COBie spreadsheet.
AECOsim version: 08.11.09.622
ODBC version: i-model ODBC Driver for Windows 7 (01.01.00019)
Testing CUP’s OS: Windows XP sp3 and Win 7 sp1
Objective: To be able to extract AECOsim’s door attributes ” Door | Finish” and “Door | Material” (Figure 1) to tab “Type” under the columns of Finish and Material as COBie data. (Figure 2)

I created a space with some interior walls and doors (Figure 3) with various definition files attached (Figure 4).

Catalog: DOOR

The current DataGroup validation yields to no errors.

It is my understanding that in order to extract and map AEOcim attributes to COBie spreadsheet, it is critical that the properties between DataGroup and mapped IFC are done correctly.

Next, I launched IFC Export and verified the mapping options. (Figure 5)

I verified that the Door’s property Mapping is done correctly. (Figure 6)

Despite validating these setting, I am not able to extract the value “WD-1” and “SC-WD” (Figure 1) from the AECOsim Door catalog into the COBie spreadsheet > TAB: Type > under columns “Finish” and “Material” (Figure 2)

I believe that the COBie User Guide is what you need.
