Composite Beam with Deck Opening

How does RAM SS take into account a composite beam with a partial deck opening?

For example, the highlighted beam has an opening along the bottom third or so, where the deck overhang is 1ft from the centerline of the beam.  The beam spacing on the other side is 10ft.  The length of the beam is 30ft.

The properties for this beam show an effective width of 57" (4.75ft):

I understand this is controlled by beam length (30ft)/8 + 1ft (slab edge).  Is this effective with applied across the length of the entire beam or is this only showing at the controlling location and the rest of the beam has a beff = 30/8 * 2 = 7.5ft?

The reduced effective width is used for the length of the beam. Check the RamSteelBeam.pdf manual, section 9.7.1 Limiting Effective Flange Width.
