Question

Managing Licenses

Is there a way to allow our users to look at the available licenses to determine which product to use?

We have a variety of Bentley Civil Products and in certain instances, the proper tool might be InRoads Suite or, in a pinch, having both InRoads and InRoads Survey loaded at the same time. And now, we are looking at PowerCivil for North America as an alternative to regular PowerCivil. But we have a finite number of these seats. If no one is using InRoads Suite, I'd prefer the user to use it before tie-ing up both an InRoads seat and a InRoads Survey Seat. But to find out which licenses are available and which are in use is currently unknown to me.

This trust licensing system might be OK if everyone uses the same software bundles all of the time. But when budgets are tight and you try to purchase the appropriate mix of software, you need more control than this system allows.

I cannot be the only one wrestling with this issue.
