Slabs modeled using a mesh of plates cannot be taken into RCDC for slab design as of now. At this moment RCDC can only design slabs based on panels formed by the surrounding beams but it cannot read a FE model of a slab. Your best bet for now for such cases would be to use the batch mode ( ELEMENT DESIGN ) in STAAD.Pro. We are developing a comprehensive concrete design solution that would allow users to carry out concrete design and detailing for different types of concrete elements. So stay tuned for exciting updates in this area.
